CBC Blues

As you no doubt know I am a fan of the CBC but it seems lately that they are going to great lengths to annoy their fan base at least on TV. CBC Newsworld has gone to another name change and the channel on Shaw is one of the affected channels that attempts to broadcast a radio signal simultaneously ending up in the most annoying garble of the sound track imaginable. I have some other issues with Shaw about this latest improvement where they have moved the PBS Detroit off my channel selection and have replaced it with some asinine kiddy channel. So I thought that I would watch the live stream of The National on my computer.
Big mistake, the live stream was the worst piece of crap I've ever seen. Segments were stopped in mid sentence and inane ads in low res inserted while the view flipped back and forth from full screen to small screen. It looked like the the techies were drunk or smoking silly weed.
So I thought why not register my displeasure in their comment section only to get caught in the old wrong password wrong e mail trap guaranteed to piss you off big time.So I'll do my pissing and moaning here.
I'm not impressed with their new format at any rate people standing around plexiglas tables doesn't really grip me. Peter Mansbridge is unflappable as usual and as long as the screen isn't on the horrendously ugly main studio then the news is the news that we have come to expect. For crown corporation dependent on taxpayer largess you would think they wouldn't do a remake of their studio and confirm that they are pissing our money away. Kind of like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
