REJECTION SLIPS

As the Chinese say when they don't wish you well,
"May you live in interesting times."

Its been a Ying and Yang week but then again when has the month of May never surprised me? I got a clean bill of health on my prostate but am still suffering from stomach aches and constipation as well as always seeming to be on the "whiz" parade. My cholesterol count is way too high which is not really surprising with the amount of flub I have around my waist  and my hit and miss diet.

I finally had enough of the Newsletter committee and posted my resignation as of today, I also withdrew my photographs and text  from the Newsletter. I didn't join these committees to make enemies but there are far too many people on these committees who have a lot of yap yap and very little do. They are all world class critics who will shower you with faint praise while pissing all over your work. They always seem to be experts at what ever it is you happen to be doing.

I'm finally finishing the the key audit and will put it in the office tomorrow. I'll have completed a year on that committee so its time to say goodbye and finally have some evenings off.  I'm hoping to get away on that free train ride anywhere in Canada served by Via Rail for veterans . I hope to get down to Montreal and Ottawa and see my children and grand children and perhaps down to Toronto to see John "F".

La Dolce Vita,

p.s. Got a lot of great gifts from my friends today, Horst bought lunch, Ken gave a book I've been lusting after, Sue gave me a coffee grinder and some exotic coffee beans, Al, of course, gave me the iPod nano and Billy gave me a new sweater and some electronic gear. It pays to advertise, ha ha. What I realize is that the greatest gift they have given me is their friendship and that goes double for you Bob "C"
Ciao, JWL

Dear Man, as I have said, it is we who are blessed with your friendship. Because you had no more good “Commie” coffee I thought that perhaps good Hawaiian Kona would be a nice change. Your laughter and smiles today really brightened all of us. Bless you, John. The heck with that committee, they just don’t recognize ‘a master’ when they see one. \(0)/

Good news about your health! Nice haul on the Birthday. Heck with the newsletter bunch. Who needs that kind of frustration? I hope you will borrow a laptop or hit internet cafes on your trip. It sounds like a great adventure and I'm sure you will document it with fantastic pictures to share with the rest of us. May seems to be shaping up in a positive way in your part of the world. You deserve it.
